You know, this brings something up...I recently set up a staff
member's new G5 (not a quad, alas!) and popped it open to look
inside. Anyone who thinks that that is the same level of engineering
as a generic Dell PC is either blind or hasn't actually ever looked
inside one.
A Faculty member got a new Dell XPS system, supposedly their "high-
end". Fit and finish were more Yugo to Apple's Lexus. I fully expect
to be replacing that XPS in two years; I fully expect to see that G5
still running in ten.
