Delivery to the following recipient failed permanently:
[email protected]
Technical details of permanent failure:
PERM_FAILURE: SMTP Error (state 12): 579 message content is not
> acceptable here
The error message comes from his SMTP. Doesn't that mean it never
got to maclaunch? Isn't "579" unsolicited commercial email (UCE)?
Almost certainly it's being bounced by Maclaunch, not his mail
server. If my ISP started bouncing my e-mails like that I'd find a
new ISP on the spot.
We'd need to see the whole message; but I'll wager that he's got a
forbidden word in his name, address or .sig if no messages get
through. I get that 579 not acceptable error all the time when I
accidentally forget to change my work .sig; it's got the forbidden
word pharm acy in it.
We now know 4 bad words:
pharm acy
niger ia
gen eric
dia gram
(though WHY that word is in there eludes me)
We need to see the full headers of a failed message, not just the
error message. It could also be simply a problem of the message not
being properly sent as plain text, though, iirc, you get a different
error from maclaunch if that's the case.
