May be a little too heavy but Photo Mechanic Pro is still available as a

an excellent piece of software and well worth learning - here's a review
of the X version from last week
--- end of quote ---
I love Photo Mechanic and I think it would be plenty easy for her to use, which
I think is a credit to the developer. But the price is way steep for the use it
would get. Even for the use I would give it in X. It's the best, I agree. I
wish I could afford it.
By the way, after a lot of searching for an os X photo browser for myself, I've
pretty much settled on ViewIt. It does almost everything I need and is only $20
shareware.
Thanks for your suggestion.
