There is nothing wrong with Toast. But there might well be with your
old CD-burner.
Newer burners have BurnProof, meaning they don't require a constant
stream of data while burning, but can take a pause if the Mac can't
deliver the data fast enough.
Since getting a BurnProof writer I have never wasted a CD, though it
used to happen fairly often with my old SCSI Yamaha 8x4x24
Are there any freeware apps for OS9 OTHER than Toast? I am heartily
SICK of making coasters and having chronic malfunctions using Toast
5.0.2. This app is refusing to see CDRs and givinbg me all sorts of
error messages. Basically I now cannot copy a CD.
