I'd pay no attention to these type of posts. They probably ended up
in hospital ER's when Apple switched over from Motorola to IBM with
suicide attempts with signs hanging around their necks with such
clever sayings as "Alas, poor Macintosh" (punctuation added by me)
and "So begins the 'end-times'". But, as most of us can see, that
is, those of us who did die due to overdosing--life went on and we
had some good times under the IBM processors. Now we begin with
Intel....Only good things are to come.....you know it, I know it.
Only a few of us would rather take the 'gloom and doom' approach.
Well, if you're going to do that, please leave me all of your
belongings? Contact me off-list so that if you plan to commit
suicide over the platform switch so that we can arrange for you to
leave me as your beneficiary. I'd really appreciate that.
All joking aside (because all of the above is.......) watch the
keynote! It took me a few tries but I finally got a good connection
and was able to see the whole thing and all I can say is WOW! Go to
an Apple Store and play with one of the new iMacs (even if you don't
plan to buy--I don't but I have to see how they work). Have faith in
Apple and Steve Jobs, they're not idiots. They know what they're
doing. Despite all the second guessing that goes on here, Apple will
go on. Last thing, can you believe the MacBook Pro? I want one!

I say it's about time. IBM has never served Apple the
way it should have. I'm hoping for the eventual
liscensing of OS X.
