Hello all. I finally got my Digital Audio motherboard, installed it in
my QuickSilver case, and installed the 2 drives I had from my Sawtooth.
I am using a modified ATX PS (the same one I used in my Sawtooth).
Now, I was told that instead of running 28V (or 24V or 25V) to the
board, I could just use 12V and the machine would boot. However, I did
this, and the machine does not boot. It does absolutely nothing when
the power button is pressed. Everything is hooked and wired up
properly, so the only reason I can think why this is not booting is
that 12V is not acceptable and I actually do need 24V. And my battery
has the proper 3.6V so thats not the problem.
I was told the consensus (I forget by whom) was 12V would work. I
would like to know how this consensus was decided and if anyone has
actually had success using 12V instead of 24V.
Thanks for any help
Chris P
