Subject: Re: [G] Another 28V question
I may as well jump on the bandwagon.. I have a friend that bought my
old
gigabit board without the power supply and was pointed to the
standard few
sites to to build one.. but so far he has blown 2 24 volt
wallwarts.. They
seem to work for a few minutes and then not..
My guess is the board is somehow feeding voltage back into the
wallwart and
frying it..
Could one use a power module from a b&w to power the 24/28 volt
circuitry??
Any ideas why or how the external wallwart would be killed??
Wow, something's not right with his setup. Typical draw on the 28v
lines should be a few watts total unless he's using an ADC display or
lots of firewire. Need more details to diag.
