Actually I think I have read EVERY post on the subject. However, I
don't recall it being mentioned that OS X was any more optimized for
x86 than it was for PPC. So are you telling me OS X is optimized
better for x86?
I think there's a misunderstanding here.
The performance problem with OS X is one of thread management; a
design and implementation problem that needs to be fixed no matter
what. It's not about optimization to one processor or another.
And again, the benchmarks I've seen so far are badly skewed for PR
purposes. So I don't really believe they reflect anything about OS
X's performance other than saying it runs faster on a dual processor
than it does on an older single processor.
