BTW, does anyone know if I can install panther on a HD in my Digital
Audio and move it to my beige?
Bruce is right. Save yourself the aggravation and don't even try it.
I don't think that Panther supports adb,
but all my peripherals are usb.
If you wanted to use adb you could. I don't know about an
Xpostfacto install since I stopped the beige's at 10.2.8. On b&w's
it worked fine on Panther and I'm using it with an Apple extended
adb keyboard right now. The machine's running Tiger 10.4.4.
I used XPF on a Beige with 10.3.9 with no problems, but could never
get a stable system with XPF and any version of 10.4. Bought a stock
B&W for $65, swapped some of the parts from the Beige and I have had
no problems. Passed the Beige on to a friend with minimal computing
needs and it, and he, are happy running 10.2.8.
