This is for a G4, right? In a Beige originally equipped with a G3?
I did everything in the link, except for pressing the cuda switch. But
anyway, the new CPU doesn't run even at the speed of the old one.
Sigh: I asked in the past here if I could put the pulled-to-be G4 from my
soon-to-arrive Sawtooth in my Beige G3 and was told that it can't be done.

Is it possible to install and run a G4 processor from, say, a five-slot
533 G4, in a Beige G3?
I'm thinking of getting a G4-533, a processor upgrade for it and put the
original G4 in my desktop G3.

You'll need some standard jumper blocks which are readily available.
