Then Apple's util will do it. > Well, that was the first thing I tried. No such luck... the HD connected to the ATA bus of the G3 MT didn't show up at all (it's a Quantum mechanism). In the meantime I hooked it to my daughter's new PowerBook (no Intel inside) and formatted it with OS X as a single OS 9 partition. After upgrading the FireWire extensions in OS 8.6 to the latest release, the HD is recognized and I can write and read from it. Will be my backup drive...
