Yes. They're being much more sensationalistic than the case warrants...this is largely a proof-of-concept trojan, poorly written at that. It's trying to be a virus, but fails on several points. Ambrosia.com has a good writeup of the thing in their forum.

It's valuable in pointing out that 90% of the time the greatest security risk to a computer is positioned between the chair and the keyboard. This requires several affirmative steps to accomplish, and along about the time a jpeg asks for your admin password, you really should be suspicious.
