I have been using the microsoft Intellimouse 4 button mouse for years, and I love it.
As you all are becoming aware, I've just made the switch to OS X and am now wondering what to do. I had been using the buttons for edit functions (copy, paste, and save) which I find most useful. However, since I made the switch and have not yet installed the mouse software I haven't programmed the keys yet. I noticed that OS X has automatically used the second big mouse key to pop up what used to be the contextual menu that popped when I held down the main mouse key in OS 9. If I programme my mouse back to the way I like them, will I confuse OS X? Or, will my contextual menus revert to popping up when I sustain the hold on the main mouse button (which I quite liked)? What else am I about to lose if I reprgramme my mouse? -- G-List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
