The B&W's lower bay is intended for a Zip, and for a Zip, only.
Dear Peter,
That's what I want to do. Already have two HDs installed and room
for another, plus have an external HD hooked up. Doubt I'll need
another HD soon!

Mounting a hard drive in the Zip bay is possible and I've heard of it
being done. Two of the four bottom mounting holes do line up.
However, I find the Zip occasionally useful for small backups and
transferring files. Tho' it's much easier just to move stuff across
the network.
My B&W (G4/450 - 10.4.5) has four hard drives (20 and 60 GB internal
and 40 and 250 GB FW), the internal Zip 100, a DVD burner and an
external SCSI Jaz drive running from a Microtech USB-SCSI-HD50
adapter. Should be good to go for a while.
