A lot of folks on this list will laugh, but I run virus software on my
Macs.
I deal with a lot of Windows word documents, spreadsheets and databases
that come in from my various suppliers (none of which are Mac users).
I have to do a variety of things to these documents to get them into a
usable format to import into my Mac inventory and POS systems. I do
some of this manipulation in Virtual PC. I run virus software on both
the WindowsXP and the Mac OSX side, to keep any incoming vermin from
spreading. I am perhaps a suitless numbskull but I feel safer this
way. I am using Intego's VirusBarrier X. I don't get any alarming
messages from them when something like OSX/Inqtana-B comes out. The
definitions just quietly show up in the next definitions
update/download.
