I know Panther is very particular about ram memory. If you have a hardware test cd, you can boot from the cd and check the memory. Sans this you could always pull some memory from your working AGP and replace the 2-128 Kingston sticks.
I had quite a few sticks of ram that wouldn't work with Panther. But they wouldn't let Panther ever finish installing. It would hang about 3/4th of the way through the install. Good luck!
