Hi, Mark and all ~ From what I have read (New York Times) this is part of the difficulty. Steve Jobs has such an overpowering personality that other talent at Apple is NOT poised to be such. They are folks who by definition fit in with a powerful leader and corporate structure would have to reworked completely.
