Someone already mentioned Wildblue, I've got a friend who uses it and it 
seems to work pretty well, except in high wind or during snow storms.

Don't worry about "other services".  Pretty much everyone offers them so 
you can't avoid them but you don't have to use them.


Another thing to check into is to see if any local ISP offers wireless 
access.  This uses a microwave link to some hilltop in the area.  You 
can see what it's about for reference purpose here:
