Yes, it will. I have the same system as you. I just installed a Dual
G4/1.42GHz CPU daughter card in place of my Dual G4/1.25GHz card. The
bonus for me is the Dual G4/1.42GHz CPU has twice as much L3 cache per
CPU than my Dual G4/1.25GHz (2MB/CPU vs 1MB/CPU). It runs great, and
I'm happy. Be sure you get a COPPER heatsink with the CPU daughter
card. The copper heatsink runs about 10 degrees Celsius cooler than
either of the aluminum models. Your CPU temps, with the copper
heatsink, will go up about 5-6 degrees Celsius as compared to your
Dual G4/1.25GHz CPU card. They will go up another 6-10 degrees Celsius
if you run with an aluminum heatsink. Running temp at idle will be
58-60 degrees Celsius. A better after market main system fan can help
with this, but will run you between $18.00-$30.00 for a good one.
