I don't know if a dual 450 is going to be fast enough. I use a G4 1.42 GHz Mini as a media center. It plays or records video well. But playing AND recording tends to throw some glitches in the playback. Recording doesn't seem to be affected. I use an 800MHz QS as a workstation and it plays video okay but periodically it stutters some. It's okay for watching in the garage but I wouldn't want to rely on it for watching with the family and all. I have an EyeTV 250+ and the full EyeTV software. The software and remote work okay. There are things about it I wish were different but that's more of a stylistic thing. Another thing is you may need USB 2.0 ports to get good recordings from a TV device. And make sure you have plenty of storage. I originally had a 60 Gb drive in mine and it got filled up a few times. It now as a 320 Gb drive which hasn't gotten close to being filled up. -- Clark Martin Redwood City, CA, USA Macintosh / Internet Consulting "I'm a designated driver on the Information Super Highway" --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed Low End Mac's G3-5 List, a group for those using G3, G4, and G5 desktop Macs - with a particular focus on Power Macs.
