A friend just wrote to ask for help with an external drive used on a Mac, but formatted in FAT (Windows format).
I have decent free data recovery software for PC's, and haven't started looking for Mac software. Should I go ahead with recovery on PC, or do you have Mac software to suggest? Since I already have PC recovery software that seems to work pretty well, I'm leaning in that direction, but I'm open to suggestions, and those suggestions may be necessary if the drive is actually in Mac format.
