When you posted similar messages to this group during the last two
years, others and I suggested that you take advantage of the Ethernet
connectivity of the LaserWriter 16/600 PS, use a router or switch for
networking, instead of simultaneous connections through its serial and
parallel ports.

The LaserWriter 16/600 PS is very versatile and sturdy. My own unit
has worked well for years, starting out with a PowerMac 9600/350
(similar to your 9600/300), through a Beige G3 and a B&W G3 (possibly
similar to your unspecified G3), a Sawtooth G4/500 (possibly similar
to your unspecified G4), and now a wireless network of several
Macintosh and Windows desktops and laptops.

Mine has worked with no problems under OS 9 and several versions of OS
X,

including 10.5 (Leopard).

What is your third query?

With all due respect, group members would have been better served if
you had started your own thread rather than hijacking another. because
your message is not relevant to the "LaserWriter 4/600 cartridge
problem."
