I have a G4 MDD dual boot 10.4.11 and 10.5.8 I installed a PCI USB 2.0 4 port card and it works fine on both systems. I would install Tiger and see if the card still works. Maybe the slot is dirty I saw a product called DeOxit that a G4 Book list member used to clean RAM slots in his G4 Aluminum PB that worked. John Carmonne Yorba Linda USA
