Since you are not kidding how about some documentation ? some quick

This Ubuntu bug report says an Intel MacBook with Ubuntu runs very
hot, so hot it shuts down.
This overheating isn't specific to Intel MacBooks, I've got two old
Compaq laptops that nearly melt when loaded with Ubuntu. The fans
don't work right or something?
This is because the Ubuntu power management drivers are, to put it
politely, foo. Put OpenSuse on those compaq's they'll run pretty
happily. The crappy power management is why I went wioth OpenSuse on
my netbook. (It's an Acer ONE, and I'm just not willing to live with
OS X sans decent built-in wireless. Runs really well with OpenSuse 11)
