Someone was selling a full set of RAM that fits for $5 on LEM-Swap yesterday. It's probably gone now, but this Mac should use RAM that's really cheap now used. The difference between 9.2.2 and 10.4.11 like the difference between walking a rocky trail where you trip on your face from time-to-time and driving on a paved street where you may need to stop for gas periodically. If this is for an older person that doesn't know much Mac stuff, OS X is the better option simply because of the stability in my opinion.
