Just a thought but if you're sure the logic boad is out on the iMac I saw some 
for $100.00, that's not bad compared to what you'll spend on the SATA card 
alone. The iFixIt  and a lot of manuals on the net are ral good at helping you 
fix it.  But That's just me. I haven't done one of those machines but I'll jump 
right in there when I get one.
