I had Mac OS X 10.5.8 on my PM G4, and I updated it to the 2010-004 security update. Since I had 3 Os's on my PM G4, it automatically booted up into Mac OS X Jaguar, and it told me to restart. Now I can't fix leopard and it loads up with the frey apple logo and spinning wheel for like forever!
Boot into Safe Mode (shift key held down) to force the full rebuild of the kernel cache.
