Are you serious? 10^9 files requires a 30 bit integer to count them. I wouldn't be surprised to find that Apple's disk image structure can't handle it with 32 bit unsigned integers. Anyone know? What is the limit on the file count for an HFS+ disk image? A gigafile of 1 kB files would require a Terabyte of storage.
