On 2011/11/13 20:24, Bruce Johnson so eloquently wrote:
do you have Perian installed?
About Perian aims to provide a single package for all your playback needs. It
is a collection of QuickTime components incorporating several libraries: •
libavcodec, from the ffmpeg project, along with code from the old FFusion
component:
Yes I do, but I don't see any reason why it would work with Chromium and not
OmniWeb. Or Safari. Or iCab.
All four are WebKit. And yes, I have tested them to be sure.
Hopefully this will settle it once and for all. Type about:plugins in Chromium's
address bar, hit enter, and you get this, among others:
Flash - Version: 11.0.1.152
Shockwave Flash 11.0 r1
Name: Shockwave Flash
Description: Shockwave Flash 11.0 r1
Version: 11.0.1.152
Location:
/Applications/3rdPartyApps/Internet/Browsers/Chromium.app/Contents/Versions/14.0.835.202/Chromium
Framework.framework/Internet Plug-Ins/Flash Player Plugin for Chrome.plugin
And no, I did not do a custom install into Chromium, I'm running it as downloaded
from MacUpdate.com
I hope to gawd that the list members can accept this and move on, rather than
insisting that I don't know what the fsck I'm talking about.
