Besides, as I mentioned in my original post, the machine is reporting a connection to the ethernet, and is "seeing" the network at least so far as to see the B&W G3 under the "sharing" heading. Also, now there is no "delay" in seeing the ethernet connection and reporting a valid IP address. So, the machine connects to the network, gets a valid IP address, sees the other Mac on the network, but won't connect to the internet. Any other ideas?
