A few years ago a friend's cat chewed up the antenna on my old G5, 1.8.

Now I need it! Finding a replacement seems rather expensive though. Look at
this price!

$55! That's just the antenna.

Are there any workarounds? Could one screw something into the card (there is a
place to screw in the antenna) and then use a piece of wire to get the antenna?
Or can I take the little antennae I have on some old wireless cards hanging
around here and attach it to the wireless card on the G5?

You could probably get an appropriate wireless pigtail and attach a regular
antenna
