The "sequencing" role is the only embedded role and is for the sequencing team, not individual researchers submitting samples. Individuals researchers can be regular Galaxy users and will have access to all of the sample submission forms but not the web forms to move samples through the back end process. The idea with the "sequencing" role was exactly as you describe. Give the sequencing team access to nglims sample tracking without needing them to be administrators on Galaxy.
