sConvert = "?a0b1c2 d3e4f5g6 h7....." note the spaces in the middle. A routine then can do: pos=instr(sConvert, sInChar) return mid(sConvert, pos+1,1) ' if pos=0, then the first character is returned... This is faster to write... and perhaps easier to read/mantain. Of course, it works only for single characters; but variations on this theme could let it work for other kind of translations.
