Hi Liam,
I agree with you that audio gaming has just really started. We are 
dealing with a largely inexperienced list of game developers who are 
learning as we go. Very few of us have gone to college, and walked away 
with a degree in Computer Science, and are self-taught.
Even those like myself who have gone to college for CS still couldn't 
write a game fresh out of school. I have been practicing for two years 
to take what I was taught and put it in to real working programs. That 
is where experience comes in.
Who knows what LWorks, GMA Games, USA Games, or someone else will be 
making 5 or 10 years from now.
