Tom I'd like to test your reader for windows, xp and vista, hopefully it works
or will work on xp.
I tried thunder, and it was a total dropout, It was basic to the point I found
it hard to use, it didn't save settings, and there were other limitations
including the having to use the web brouser interface that came with the
program.
Let me know what you have.
If its that good I will definately use it.
I plan to upgrade jaws and hal anyway but if in some future I could at least do
all the stuff jaws and hal did without say advanced word formatting, excell and
other functions I never use I would definatly jump on it.
You have no idea how much it is to get upgrades.
Firstly I need to pay the nz distributors.
Then depending on their facilities, I either get my auth codes updated and
automatically emailed to me or put on the net and get told over the phone then
and there, or have to wait 2 weeks to get everything processed in us or uk
companies.
Get the dealer to do the codes and send me the disk or whatever.
Then I have to wait for the cds to come in.
In the case of jaws this is not the case, the dealer has the facilities for
straight away codes and full versions of jaws can be gotten.
However I still need to wait for cds to get the realspeak voice installers.
With hal I will have to wait for codes and cds.
The cost is rather high although I guess someone needs to make cash, its just
the time after where I must wait for things to come through.
Its a pitty dolphin are the only company that does not previde full downloads
from the net.
