oh no doubt we are seeing a smaller market version of exageration.
in the big arket there are are a lot of crappy games and crappy companies the impact is smaller though a company or game may get bad reviews from time to time. this market is quite small so any critisism and any other ism will just hit harder.
its a logical marketing thing with what we have.

I do see your point, but I wonder if this is all exaggerated because
the blind community is smaller. We have this list, the Audiogames
forum, and maybe a couple of other specialized online communities such
as the zone and Klango where games are discussed. So when 20 people
gang up on a developer, for example, it does look pretty bad. But look
at how much sighted people complain about games as well. There are
potentially hundreds of sites where a sighted person might complain
about not liking a game they bought, not to mention the much broader
spectrum of games for sighted people, but they're so widely scattered
that it doesn't seem quite as dramatic.
So, for both blind gamers and developers, it creates a tense
situation. In a way, I can see why new developers start to get their
feet wet in the accessible gaming world, then turn and walk away once
people start piling criticism on them. As I said previously, it also
makes sense why gamers want something more. I don't follow the
development of IPhone games, since I don't own one, but I do know that
the development of PC games has been somewhat stunted lately. However,
there are still potential dedicated customers who want PC games.
I don't know...It's really a complicated situation. If I were a
programmer, I don't know that I would want to get into creating audio
games in the often hostile climate we're in now. I have a friend who
wants to jump in with both feet as soon as he has the necessary
programming skills. He has big dreams about certain game concepts,
which I won't reveal here for several reasons. I guess my main point
is that I can really see both sides of the coin here, and I don't
think one is more right or accurate than the other.
