guys I just would like to make sure of something.
Josh sent me a private e-mail yesterday that no one should take the movies
to heart. Its fake and if anyone wants to be a wizard or a witch its bad.
He said that when your child is about 12 years you should sit with him while
watching the movies and explain to him that its all fake and that he should
not try to practice wizardry. Don't get me wrong guys , I'm a humerous
person who can take a joke. But I want to make sure: did phil made a joke
when he said the crystal ball tells him when the bug will be fixed? I know
nothing about programming but logic tells me a bug is a mistake you as the
programmer makes. Gigo, garbage in garbage out.
When I was at college many students were always inclined to give the
computer the fault if something is wrong, but then the teacher repeatedly
corrected him that the computer will only output a mistake if you input a
mistake.
So I don't think you can foretell when a bug will be fixed by looking at a
crystal ball. You can only fix a bug by correcting the mistake you made; by
debugging, lol.
That's just my 2 sense but if phil made a joke I'll take it as one.
But just in case someone took phil to heart, I just want to say that bugs
can only be fixed by correcting the mistakes the programmer made.
