I hope so.
The point people start mucking up my progress by attacking me is the point I
stop playing, though while I'd be happier if it was utterly outlawed, I
don't mind so long as people refrain from it so that I can craft and gather
resources and the like in peace.
Indeed my biggest problem now is finding where resources are on the map,
sinse all the general information on where the different biome types are or
even where the resources are is given as ascii maps, and slogging through
room after room using survey isn't fun.

the PVP is only there if someone runs across your base and decides to
take a chunk out of it either with ship weapons, demolition charges or
whatever else
other than that yes, it is pretty single player or co-op

Certainly it's a unique one for me, seeing a mud of this type.
Btw, to get rid of the ascii maps type @prefs showmap is off, and don't
forget the at sign at the beginning.
