FWIW, do you guys think that just handling team management - batting order,
bowler selection, and maybe things like fielder placement would be
appealing, or would it also be good to maybe offer forms of actual game-play
activity, then either in terms of ball-by-ball/over-by-over reporting, or
forms of actual bowling/batting activities?
While it might/should be possible/easy enough to possibly work on
implementing pieces of actual bowling/batting activities, aside from sort of
strange/etherealised versions of a fielder chasing after a ball after it got
bowled by bowler/hit by the batsman, I don't really think actual fielding
interaction/activity would offer too much in terms of game play, without
possibly then spoiling the sort of general cricket theme/feel?
And, I actually used to be captain of my high school's 2nd cricket team, for
a short while anyway, as well as a middle order batsman and medium pace
bowler, back in old sighted days - but this was a little while ago, and part
of what am thinking about relates to forms of memories from actually having
played mainstream/sighted cricket back in those days.
Stay well

Well in England, there are some very dedicated cricket fans. While
football is sort of pervasive, (and that's of course Socker, not American
football), cricket tends to have a large number of extremely dedicated
fans who take it rather seriously. A good friend of mine for example will
regularly spend days at cricket grounds, indeed sinse he's also an h2g2
fan he loved Life the universe and everything and was really pleased when
they got the radio 2 cricket commentators to star in the tertiary phase of
the radio play.
So, while I'm personally not a major cricket fan I do think there is an
audience for such a game.
Beware the grue!

Nope, but, still have it on a back-burner to get around to putting
something like that together at some stage myself, but, just not sure
exactly how would plan to handle it - most likely some or other form of
team management, at times ball-by-ball, or over-to-over interaction, or
something, but, not sure, and also to be honest, while my guide dog's
full name is actually Inzamam ul Haq, I haven't followed any of the
current team's line-ups, but, BTW, I'm from South Africa, so, yes,
cricket is quite an important sport this side of the world as
well...<smile>
