Hi Bryan.
That is true, but the logs in frogger were always going away from you so you
had to jump forwards while moving sideways, where as on the plane stage,
both planes are coming towards eachother sideways so you have sort of a
standard side scroller view, which is why you need to jump when the two
planes are close but not when their sounds exactly overlap.
Well that is what I thought anyway though I could be entirely wrong on the
intended mechanics of that stage of awsome homer.
Beware the grue!
