I just knew when I mentioned this game someone would bring up smugglers :D.

Nope, this is miles different to smugglers, partly because it is a much simpler game, but mostly because it's hole idea is different. IN smugglers the trading works by knowing all the prices of a system or indeed multiple systems and flying around. In Traders of Known space trading works by physically going to different planets to find their prices, occasionally with information.

In smugglers you could fly around with no penalty, in TRaders of known space you need fuel. In smugglers you had 25 star systems (or 31 in s5 invasion), with roughly 150 planets to fly to, in traders your playing on a 10 x 10 grid, mapping out each move carefully.

Combat is also miles different. Really, while both games are space trading games, they don't have much in common, which is of course a good thing, sinse much as I think smugglers is an awsome game it's always nice to try out something else.

Beware the grue!

Dark.
