Yes, we have the swings here in the States as well. Usually they are a
popular feature at carnivals and fairs. Although, I can not honestly
remember if Cedar Point and King's Island have them or not.

In any case I agree that it can be dangerous and unsafe is someone
kicks the swing you are sitting on because if they are like the ones I
have ridden on there are no safety belts to hold you in place. Even if
safety belts and harnesses are used kicking the swing to cause it to
go out of control should warrant the person doing so being immediately
removed from the ride and barred from the park. Doing so shows an
absolute lack of maturity, concern for the safety of others, and the
person who does something like that is a jerk to put it politely. Park
security should be informed and their butts should be made to answer
for that kind of bullying behavior.
