If an area is listed as not yet playable it means just that, that it's not 
yet playable. It doesn't have anything to do with subscriber status. It just 
means those areas aren't yet online.
  As for fleeing combat situations like the one in the cathedral in Talinus, 
if you run away you can't go back unless you first quit the game without 
saving and then reload.
  I don't remember a young guy in the Moonshore Crossroads unless you're 
talking about the money lender, and there are a few ways you can finishthat 
scenario, the least painful being to pay him the fifty gold.
  As for the various skill levels, every ten levels you get a new one. 1-10 
is novice, 10-20 is Apprentice, 20-30 is Journeyman and so on. In the case 
of Weaponry, every ten levels your Melee Rating increases by one point. The 
same goes for subskills. If you're using a sword and you have the skill of 
Weaponry, Slashing, then raising it ten levels will increase your MR. But 
the EXP cost increases every four or five levels, so keep that in mind.
