Consider the longest drive using a wood.  Then consider the distance from 
the tee to the hole.  If the distance you must hit the ball is greater than 
the longest possible drive, you cannot score a hole in 1 on that hole. 
Every hole is different.  How well you play is determined by the club you 
choose and your timing.  HTH
