The longest drive I've got with a 1 wood is 315 yards, though I believe you might be able to get even further with split second timing.
Even for the holes that are under 300 yards though, the hole difficulty stil seems to be a factor, sinse I've often got the right distance but not got my ball in the hole. I assume the "difficulty" rating of each hole in the golf course maker is a measure of how curved the course is, ------ obviously, without some applied time lord technology, your not going to be able to hit your ball around corners or circles behind you. Hay! maybe that should be a new game for you jim, ------ four dimentional golf! the best shot could be a hole in zero, when you propel the ball backwards in time and space to be in the hole before you even swing your club! of course, this causes a potentially universe destroying paradox, but who cares if it improves your par?
