Could it be a memory issue? Granted if you two are running newer machines that's not likely, but I thought I'd ask. I had the same problems with STFC and Monty (although the Alchemy incarnation), on my mom's computer. Granted hers was a dinosaur still running Win98 (the old one, not SE), and it couldn't have had all that much memory. I remember the desktop PC I had had only 64 Meg (yes, 64), up until a few months before it died on me. I'm actually rather seriously considering getting a new desktop, but I'll have to see if I can't find one relatively cheap. I'm told you can buy a pretty good Del PC brand new for under a thousand bucks, so I might look into that. It ain't pretty when the pretty leaves you with no place to go. J.D.
