I definately wouldn't try to play online until you have done all the 
games against the computer, including all 3 aggressive levels.
  Until you can beat the aggressive computer, most people online will wear 
you out.
  Regarding warcraft, the only thing that really applies are general 
tactics, but with a few sessions of sound rts and decent problem solving 
skills you will develop your own tactics that work in sound rts.
  Also, quick update on the sound RTS tournament, I have nearly completed 
work on the tournament interface for my website, so as soon as it is all 
tested I will announce details about the tournament, including a pretty cool 
prize for the winner.
