Hi, I just wondered, have any of you developers already had a closer look at XAudio2? I just did, and I have to admit that it looks really interesting. Depending on the release date of a stable beta or final version I might rewrite my game engine to use this new sound API. My engine is in a very early stage, so porting is still very easy. Furthermore, I don't want to release a game soon, so I've got the time. On the other hand, I see the compatibility issues (WinXP/Vista only). So what are your thoughts about this DirectSound replacement?
