I think that books are like games--the best of them draw you in, until 
sometimes you really feel like you're there, experiencing what the 
characters experience and so on.  The best of books and games can bring us 
to that point, and since some folks aren't as well-versed in literature as 
others, they don't know that many older books can do the same thing.
Take Wind and the Willows, for example--that's a book that could easily be 
made into a great game.  I'd love to be Mr. Toad, driving that stolen 
motorcar, evading the police--not to mention the two freaked-out dudes in 
the back seat, taking a ride in the barge, then stealing the old woman's 
horse and being out on the prowl, Mr. toad once again...
