Adding to what Phil said, there's one change to this procedure with the update to Ten Pin Alley released a couple of weeks ago. Some files needed to be moved around in order to support Windows Vista. The names.dat file now resides in the user's Application Data folder, in a subfolder called Ten Pin Alley. In Windows XP, the path might be something like:
c:\documents and settings\Phil\Application Data\Ten Pin Alley ...if the user who is logged in to WIndows is named Phil. In WIndows Vista, the path will be a bit different, but will be located in something like: c:\users\Phil\App Data\ HTH.
